Check a listing before you pay

What does the check do?

It reads the price, size, rooms and area from the text, looks for sentences that recur in rental scams, compares the price with live listings in the same area and looks for a similar flat at the agencies we follow.

Does a clean check mean the ad is safe?

No. The check only sees the text. Pay nothing until you've seen the flat in person and signed a lease, and pay the deposit to a bank account, with a receipt.

Do you store the ad's text?

No. We check the text and drop it. We store only a count of checks per IP address, so the tool can't be abused.
