How we work it out

Rents are asking prices from live listings, each flat counted once even when several agencies list it. A neighbourhood appears once it has at least 5 listings of the chosen size.

Trip times come from ZET's timetable (GTFS, valid 28 Sept 2026–31 Dec 2026) for one weekday (17 Nov 2026): we leave the neighbourhood's centre every 10 minutes between 07:00–08:50, walking to and from the stops, and show the median, so waiting counts. Tram and bus, with a change when that is faster, or on foot when walking is quicker.

A neighbourhood named like its city district (Donji grad, Trnje, Maksimir, Črnomerec, Stenjevec, Sesvete, Brezovica) means the whole district, as in search; the trip is measured from the neighbourhood's centre.
