Pantovčak is both a street and a neighbourhood north of Ilica, in the Upper Town – Medveščak district, and it belongs to the ‘Stjepan Radić’ local committee area. The street starts at Britanski trg, close to Ilica, and heads north towards Medvednica. It is lined with houses and flats, and some foreign diplomatic missions have their residences here.
Pantovčak 241 is the Presidential Palace, home to the Office of the President of Croatia since 1992; the president does not live there. Formerly known as Vila Zagorje, the building was built in 1963–1965 for Josip Broz Tito to a design by Vjenceslav Richter and Kazimir Ostrogović. In Croatian public life the street's name is shorthand for the president's office and policies. The building is surrounded by a park, and Pantovčak and Zelengaj are among the district's park-forests.
No trams run on Pantovčak; the nearest run along Ilica. A city bus leaves from Britanski trg and follows Pantovčak past the Presidential Palace to Šestine. Britanski trg, at the very start of the street, has an open-air market selling fruit, vegetables and other food.
